Circa 1920-30's Silk Kimono(Emerald Green, Collection of Auspicious Plants)
Hand made, hand sewn in Japan.
This kimono features many auspicious plants such as peonies (represents beauty), daffodils (social success, wisdom, longevity), plum blossoms (fortune), bamboo (fortune) and Tachibana (Japanese citrus, represents prosperity of descendants and longevity).
In this kimono's lining fabric is 'Momi (紅絹)', which is a term for thin silk fabric dyed in Beni (べに, crimson red) colour traditionally used for linings or underwear for female Kimono in Japan. It is said that wearing red colour keeps the human body warm. However, after the WWⅡ, Momi linings became uncommon because the colour was so strong enough to be seen through the outer Kimono, and people became uncomfortable with it. Today, Momi has become one of the criteria to evaluate vintage kimonos. If the Kimono has proper Momi lining, you can tell it is truly vintage.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition.
There also may be mild sign of age, however, except that, I don't find other major stains, damages or faults. I try to describe the kimono as accurate as possible.

kimonos are box-shape. it will fit many sizes. Please check the measurements. The torso is UK size 10 body.
