Upcycled Tenugui Towel Patchwork Top(Kaki Persimmon Botanical Dyed Cotton), Handmade, Hand dyed,
“Tenugui” are a type of traditional Japanese towel. Since tenugui have a smooth texture that is unlike typical Western terrycloth towels, they can be used in various ways other than just drying hands or bodies. This top is upcycled from patch worked vintage tenugui. Then there were dyed by persimmon tannin botanical dye (it is called Kakishibu-zome in Japanese).
"Kaki-shibu" is a traditional Japanese dye of amber color which comes from unripe persimmons that have been fermented and aged for more than 2 years. It has many natural, beneficial properties, such as deterring insects and having an anti-mold effect for wood and cloth. Kakishibu-zome dye is as a great alternative to synthetic colours.

- All of my items are vintage and pre-loved unless mentioned. I do my best to note any flaws, however, it is possible that a garment may have a small flaw that has accidentally been overlooked. I will offer a refund only if an item has been largely misrepresented.
