Late 19th - early 20th "Boro" indigo no sleeve hanten
Boro is a traditional Japanese patchwork and mending technique that has its roots in frugality and sustainability. The word "boro" itself means "rags" or "tatters." It originated among the peasant and working-class communities in Japan, particularly during the Edo period (17th to 19th centuries) and continued into the early 20th century.
This Boro Noragi Vest can be reversible. You can solo enjoy the indigo blue stripes side too.
Hand made, hand sewn in Japan more than 100 years ago.
"Noragi - 野良着" is known as traditional farmer's workwear in Japan. It typically consists of durable, comfortable clothing suitable for agricultural labour, often made from natural materials like cotton or hemp. These garments are designed to provide ease of movement and protection while working in the fields, and they reflect the practical and functional aspects of traditional Japanese farming attire.
This item is wearable however it can be beautiful wall decoration if you hang it with a stick.

All measurements are taken from the back when the kimono is placed on a flat surface.
The measurements are approximate.
Condition:
It is hard to say the condition. It can be fair condition but can be great vintage condition as Boro. Please understand the nature of Boro. I could say it is still wearable.
There are many signs of age and patches however, I don't find other major stains. I try to describe the kimono as accurately as possible. Please do not buy if you like new or mint condition clothes.
